Goddess Saraswati is worshiped on Vasant Panchami day. Many Hindu astrologers
consider Vasant Panchami as Abujha day which is auspicious to start all good
work. According to this belief whole Vasant Panchami day is auspicious to
perform Saraswati Puja. On this day in Basara temple, Aksharabhyasam or Vidya
Praasana is done for children who are at the age of 3 to 5 years. Being an
auspicious occasion, children are taught their first words, hence marking the
beginning of their learning period.<br />

<br />
<b><span style="color: magenta;">About Vasant Panchami :</span></b><br />
<br />
Goddess Saraswati is the deity of wisdom, music and art learning along with
goddess Parvati and Lakshmi, Saraswati is one of the three most important
deities in Hindu culture. On this day Goddess Saraswati is dressed in yellow
garments, yellow being the symbol of spiritual knowledge. People also dress up
in yellow clothes and offer yellow flowers to deities in the temples. The four
hands of the Saraswati symbolize the different sides of human personality in
learning. Goddess Saraswati seated on a white lotus and is dressed in a pure
white sari. When seated on a peacock, she signifies that wisdom suppresses ego.
The famous Saraswati temple is in Basara. According to purana lord Brahma after
creating the universe was very disappointed to see the silence present
