Sri Rama Navami is celebrated on Saturday, 28th March in 2015. Sri Rama Navami celebrated in Chitra Maas. It usually occurs in March or April. Sri Rama Navami is the birthday of Lord Rama. Sri Rama Navami will be celebrated seven days after Ugadi or Yugadi. Sri Rama Navami celebrated on ninth day of Chitra Maas i.e. Chitra Shukla Paksha Navami as per Telugu calendar. Sri Rama Navami day Lord Sitarama kalyanam or marriage will be performed in temples and communities. Lord Rama is the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Rama was born to kill The Demon Ravana and to establish Satya Vaak paripalana aroun the world. Lord Rama is on the word like "oke Maata (word), oke Banam (Arrow) and oke Bharya (wife)".

Procedure on Sri Rama Navami:

Sri Rama Navami is celebrated on occasion of Marriage of Rama and Sita. It is celebrated grandly in bhadrachalam Temple. Every year The Government of Andhra Pradesh would offer silk clothes to the bridegroom Lord Shri Rama and pearls for the Talambralu ritual it will be given by current CM at the time of occasion.

Srirama Navami is celebrated as the birthday of the Lord Srirama. In Many places the statues of Lord Rama and Sita were placed together decorated with flowers, chains on a stage and do the Marriage and many people will attend to watch this Marriage. On this occasion vadapappu and panakam are the important food varieties as naivedyam. After the pooja this naivedyam is given to the devotes.

Preparation of Naivedyam:

Vadapappu prepared by taking greengram and wash with water. Then add water to the green gram and place ahed for one hour. In other bowl Chalimidi is prepared by soaking rice in water for 4-5 hours then dry the rice then grind to a fine powder. To this rice powder add jaggery and coarsely crushed elachi. Wet your hands and mix the ingredients well for a few minutes till you get a smooth soft dough like  appearance. Chalimidi is to be eaten in combination with vada pappu. Panakam is prepared by Mix the jaggery in water and let it dissolve completely. Filter the jaggery water. Add dried ginger powder, crushed cardamom and crushed pepper then Mix it well.
