When moon appears, prayers are offered to the moon Then fasting women's first sees the moon through a sieve then Their husband's face. After Seeing through sieve husband's brings a plate and offers her Firstly water will be drinked then the sweet and food to break her fast. Generally Red or pink Saree will be preferred. Newly married woman wears the wedding dress and ornaments. Karva Chauth preparation will be started before few days of the actual festival means sweets preparation and Sargi.
